Frequently Asked Questions

Will my doctor accept reports from Threaded Care?

Yes. We use standard clinical scales like the NICHQ Vanderbilt Assessment Scales, which are the same tools most pediatricians and specialists use for diagnosis. The report is formatted specifically for clinical review.

Threaded Care provides clinical-grade screening tools that doctors use to make a diagnosis. While an app cannot legally diagnose a child, our reports provide the comprehensive history and behavior tracking a doctor needs to diagnose faster and more accurately.

Parent invites teachers of the child into the platform and request their assessment and also get the teachers use the platform to get a pulse of what is happening in school.

Yes. Because Threaded Care uses clinically-validated Vanderbilt assessments and medical-grade screening tools recognized by the American Academy of Pediatrics, our Care Coordinator and Advocacy Pro tiers are generally eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement. We provide itemized receipts that include the necessary diagnostic codes for your reimbursement claim.

In the Care Coordinator and Advocacy Pro tiers, simply enter your child’s teacher’s email address. We’ll send them a secure, one-click portal where they can log behavior observations in under 60 seconds—no app download, no account creation, no hassle. Teachers love it because it’s faster than filling out paper forms, and you get real-time classroom insights that sync directly to your child’s profile.

Both Care Coordinator and Advocacy Pro are for the whole family. Create unlimited child profiles and invite unlimited caregivers (grandparents, tutors, nannies, baby sitter respite workers) at no additional cost. Each child gets their own secure data ecosystem, and you manage everything from one dashboard. Many of our Pro families coordinate care for 2-4 children with complex needs—and save thousands compared to per-child subscription models.

We’re not a replacement for clinical services—we’re the connective tissue between them. Think of us as the medical record system your child’s ADHD team never had. While therapy apps focus on individual behavior change, we focus on coordination: getting everyone (parents, teachers, doctors, therapists) looking at the same data so interventions actually stick. The result? Fewer “what’s working at home doesn’t work at school” situations, and faster treatment adjustments when something isn’t working.

Absolutely. We’re HIPAA-compliant and use bank-level encryption for all data at rest and in transit. Only authorized users you explicitly invite can access your child’s information. We never sell data to third parties, and we never use your child’s information for advertising. You control who sees what—and you can revoke access anytime.

Yes, we do accept Step-up for Students Scholarship that is available to many families in Florida.
