Illustrative example: a call at 10:15
The school calls Ana about a playground conflict. She notes the facts, confirms the vice principal has it handled, tells her manager she needs fifteen minutes, and books a call with the teacher for 3:30.
For the hour after the school calls
Get the facts, decide who responds now, and set a time to check in later. You do not have to solve everything before your next meeting. Write down what happened, who is handling the immediate response, what you will share with the school or your manager, and when you will follow up. One incident is not a diagnosis.

Derek and his ex-wife share custody. When the nurse calls, they check the plan they keep in one place and see it is her day to pick up, so he stays at work.
