For remote and hybrid workers

Work ends. Your mind needs a way to follow.

How can I keep work and home from taking over each other?

Give the end of the workday a clear handoff. Write down the next work task so it can wait, name who owns tonight's home responsibilities, and notice what helps you switch. Remote work is not bad in itself; the trouble is that nothing physical marks the change. A short, repeatable routine can do that job, whether or not you have children.

What this can look like

Illustrative examples, not customer stories or testimonials.

Illustrative example: a laptop on the kitchen table

Dana works from home and lives alone. At 6 p.m. her laptop is still open beside dinner, and an unanswered message keeps pulling her back. She writes tomorrow's first task on a sticky note, closes the lid and goes for a ten-minute walk as her commute.

Illustrative example: pickup in the middle of a call

Marcus is hybrid and has two kids. His last meeting runs into school pickup, so he arrives distracted. He now saves his open task in one line at 2:50, checks who is cooking that night, and gives himself the drive to switch over.

What Threaded Care actually does here

Threaded Care is one platform for adults and families. For remote workers it gives the home side of the day a steady place to live.

Your own adult profile

Create an account and set up a profile for yourself. Family profiles are optional, not required.

Family information in one place

Organize notes and information for the people you support so you are not rebuilding the story each time.

Resources and relevant support

Browse available resources and, when you choose to, connect with the people who support you, such as a provider or a school.

What it is not: Threaded Care does not track your hours, manage your work tasks or replace advice from a health professional.

Use this at the end of a workday. Print it, copy it, or keep it beside your desk.

Stop

What is the last thing I will finish today, and what time do I stop?

Save

The next work task, written in one line so it can wait until tomorrow:

Home owner

Tonight's home responsibility and who owns it (me, a partner, a roommate, nobody needed):

Switch

What helped me switch over today (walk, music, changing rooms, a call)?

This worksheet is part of this page, not a feature of the Threaded Care app. It is not a clinical tool.

Questions people ask

Is remote work bad for wellbeing?
Not in itself. Gallup found similar stress levels among fully remote and hybrid workers, and that finding is an association, not proof that remote work causes stress.
Do I need children to use Threaded Care?
No. You can create an account just for yourself. Family profiles are optional.
Will Threaded Care track my work hours?
No. It is not a time tracker or a productivity monitor, and it does not report to your employer.
What if I share a home with roommates instead of family?
The handoff still works. The point is knowing which home tasks are yours tonight and which can wait, whoever you live with.
Is the worksheet part of the app?
No. The worksheet on this page is free to print or copy. It is not an app feature.
